On the 1st of December 2012, we released our second record “The Quietest Place on Earth” with a show at ‘The Roxbury’, a 100-capacity room in the Sydney suburb of Glebe. We had a new vigour with the recent addition of Matt Harvey on guitar following the departure of two founding members. This was the first of four monolithic shows we played in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. It came a year and a half after we had recorded it. The master had sat on a shelf at Mark’s house gathering dust during a period of uncertainty in the band until Matt invested his own money to press 250 vinyls. We knew we had written and recorded a really special record, we just couldn’t get it together long enough to put it out. Ten years since its release it holds a special place in the heart of our band. It is the last record with our brother, Chris, who would pass away a few months after its release. A record we are still extremely proud of, a record of beauty and anger. “a plunge, a dive, I gamble fate.”
For the anniversary edition we went with an elegant black, gold and white design with gold foiling inside and out. The insert is a 60x60cm fold out poster featuring artwork by New Zealand artist Jeremy Geddes from his cosmonaut series. As well as a second insert and solid white vinyls. There are no other colour variants of this package.
We have these on tour with us right now!
This release is also available through Dunk! Records in Europe and from us worldwide. Pre-orders are online now. These will start shipping in February 2023.
